Obituary of Joanne Zakany

ZAKANY, Joanne, “Jody”, 78, of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010. She was an avid reader and an artist. She loved to travel but mostly she loved her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Zakany in 1995. She is survived by her three sons, Dr. Stephen Zakany, Jr. and his wife, Tiina of Lafayette, CO; Glenn Zakany and his wife, Theresa of Ft. Myers and Scott Zakany and his wife, Lily of Apollo Beach; daughter, Starr Loyless and her husband, John of Tampa; grandchildren, Casey Barile, Jena Zakany, Brittni Loyless, Bradley Zakany, Alexia Loyless, Tanner Zakany, Zack Zakany and Stephen Zakany III. A funeral service to celebrate her life will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Sun City Center. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private interment will take place at the Florida National Cemetery.
