Laurie, Matt & Mark, I spoke with Mike last week. I know this is a terrible time for all of you and I hope and pray over time only the good times, memories and your Dads smile will remain and give you comfort and joy. I lost my dad when I was fifteen, so I know how you must feel. Your Dad was a Great Guy and a Great friend to me and many others. We share your pain and sorrow and will miss him everyday. I was lucky enough to share some great and fun times with John and I'll always remember him. I feel cheated I did'nt get to see him one more time, but I believe he's in a better place and I'll always remember the good times we had. God Bless, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all this Summer. Pat.

Dear Jacula Family - It was with great sadness that I read the obituary this past Saturday - I still cannot believe John is gone. My parents so loved all of your family,as we all did, and we shared so many wonderful times growing up together. The world has lost such a special person - he was the kind of man that we hope all of our sons become. Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless your family in this difficult time. I have some wonderful pictures from our First Communion party - our families celebrated together - please let me know if you would like some copies. Much love to all, Robbie

Dearest Laurie and children, Cousin Cathy and Cousin Steffy, My heart is absolutley broken. I will always remeber Johnny as one of the best parts of my childhood.....non stop pillow fights, hiding in various parts of your house on Winton Rd, and making ice cream Sundaes with A1 Steak Sauce, salt pepper and just about anything we could find. Johnny was so much fun to be with all the time. Please know I am thinking of you all...He joined my brother Steve exactly 2 months to the day later. Much love, Annie

"The Final Inspection" The policeman stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining. Just as brightly as his brass. "Step forward now, policeman. How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To My church have you been true?" The policeman squared his shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint. I've had to work most Sundays, and at times my talk was rough, and sometimes I've been violent, Because the streets are awfully tough. But I never took a penny, That wasn't mine to keep.... Though I worked a lot of overtime When the bills got just too steep. And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears. I know I don't deserve a place Among the people here. They never wanted me around Except to calm their fear. If you've a place for me here, Lord, It needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't.....I'll understand. There was silence all around the throne Where the saints had often trod. As the policeman waited quietly, For the judgment of his God. "Step forward now, policeman, You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell." A co-worker for almost 25 years, and a friend for almost 35 years, John was a person who enjoyed. Now, normally, you would expect that word to be followed by an item, or list of items, but it seemed to me that John enjoyed EVERYTHING. I'm straining to remember ever seeing him angry, or if so, having it last for more than a few seconds. John possessed a great sense of humor, laughed freely, and therefore he was always a guy you wanted to be around. A good husband to Laurie, a good father to the boys, and a good friend to a great many people, John will be sorely missed. (John, if you can read these things from up there, ask Mr. Sarazen, Jones, Snead, and Hogan to send me some tips!)
