Obituary of Michael David Dyke

DYKE, Michael David, Sr., “Papasan”, 62, of Land O' Lakes, Fla., passed away Tuesday , August 24, 2010. He was born in Dayton, Ohio and moved to Florida in 1963. He was a US Army veteran and served two tours in Vietnam. Michael worked with Tampa Bay Cleaners Supply for 24 years, working his way from a driver to manager. He loved bowling with his family at AM-FIL bowling league at Pin Chisers-Midtown in Tampa. He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Greg Williams and great grand daughter, Savannah. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Georgetta; two sons, Michael, Jr. and his wife, Sharon of Land O' Lakes and Scott and his wife, Cherri of Spring Hill; daughter, Lisa Mattingly and her husband, Billy of Spring Hill; three brothers, Ronald of White Cloud, MI., Bobby and his wife, Sue of Lake City, Fla., and Jack and his wife, Kenia of Tampa; two sisters, Judy Hogacker and Ginny Smith and her husband, Tim all of Tampa; thirteen grandchildren, Ashly, Michael, Sariah, Stephanie, Aaron, Elona, Jessica, William, Amber, Jimmy, Heather, Nick and Chris and three great grand children, Stephen, Brandon and Rose. A funeral service will take place 7:00 p.m. Friday at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery.
