Obituary of Clifford Scott Barker

BARKER, Clifford Scott "Cliff", 86, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the Baldomero Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home in Land O' Lakes, where he resided for 11 years. He was born in Butler, Pennsylvania, the son of John K. and Lila Scott Barker. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and after the war earned his Doctorate degree in Metallurgy. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joanne; four sons, Russell, Mitchell, Clifford Jr. and wife Jean, Alan and wife Melanie; and daughter, Linda (Barker) Barnette. He has seven grandchildren: Sam, Carrie, Alex, Hadley and Reece Barker, Lauren and Ian Barnette. He belonged to several metallurgical societies and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Dr. Barker's final resting place will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
