Obituary of Wallace Roger Fingar

Fingar, Wallace R. “Gator”, 86, of Lutz, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010. He was born in Hopewell Junction, NY, and moved to Florida in 1925. He served in the Army during WWII in Battery ”B” 206th AAA “AW” BN. He retired from CSX railroad. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Lutz and Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Tampa. He is survived by his wife, Jean of 62 years; son, Roger and wife, Lynda of Temple Terrace; daughter, Annette Traina and her husband Joe III of Lutz; brother, Jack of Palm River, Fl., Bobby of Callahan, Fl; Five grandchildren, Joe IV (Chris), Jeff (Denice), Jeremy (Brandi), Naomi (Tomás), Nik (Candice); Eight great grandchildren, Emily, Susannah, Ella, Sawyer, Madison, Catie, Luke, Dominik; many nieces and nephews; A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Lutz Wednesday, July 14th at 7:00 p.m. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lifepath Hospice or First United Methodist Church of Lutz. Committal service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on July 23 at Florida National Cemetery.
