Obituary of Mary S Jimenez

JIMENEZ, Mary S., 81, of Land O’ Lakes, Fla., passed away on Friday, May 14th, 2010. Mary was born in Ipswich, MA on January 31, 1929 to John and Alice (Pillsbury) Staats. She grew up in Rowley, MA and was raised mostly by her grandmother, Josephine Pillsbury. After moving to Florida, Mary was introduced to Yivon “Jimmy” Jimenez who she would marry on September 7, 1964. In 1966, Mary gave birth to her first son, Tony and just a year and a half later; give birth to her second son, Cary. Mary was a devoted mother and worked very hard to provide for her children. Mary was employed at Thatcher Glass for over 24 years and then worked for Tampa General Hospital for 10 years before retiring. Mary was a family person who enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything else. Mary is survived by her sons, Tony and his fiancée, Diana and Cary and his wife, Elaine; her grandchildren, Kenny and his wife, Amber, Ashley and her fiancée, Tim; her youngest grandchild, Haley; her great grandsons, Levi and Logan; sister, Shirley Jenkins; brother, John Staats and stepchildren, Pam Keenliside, Ritchie Lee Wilson, Gloria Baker and Nikki Jimenez. Mary also leaves behind many loving extended family members and friends. A memorial and celebration of her life will take place on Friday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
