I called her "Momma" . She was the wonderful lady who "adopted" me after my own mother passed. She tried so hard to keep me on the straight and narrow. Although many times I fell, she was always there to pick me up. She never gave up on me. I was fortunate enough to accompany she and "Pappa" on some of their travels. Our trip to Jolly Ole' England was a trip of a lifetime and a memory I cherish. We shared laughter, joy, sadness and tears. She shared her recipes, her culinary and entertaining secrets and always had a cup of tea waiting. And above all, she shared her love. And for that I will forever be grateful. I love you "momma"!

Today was really hard celebrating your life on earth. Praise God for the promise that we will be together again. I'm watching America's Funniest Home Videos and it seemed an appropriate time to write as I know you would want me to smile. Thank you for all your love. In a world where most just rush by, YOU always took that moment to reach out and touch not just mine but many lives. I hope you were tuned in to watch your service today because it had all the details you would have wanted. The tea was not British though, sorry. It saddens me that you won't be planning my wedding but I'll try to heed your advise and not run off. (lol) Tim missed today because he was in New York but he loved you so much. Thanks for coming to his mom's funeral. I'll never forget you at the Ale House how you made sure you met everyone in the room. Our last talk at the Mexican Restaurant before you and Burt left for your trip will forever be etched. You were so excited about going and told me all about it when you got back. Please God take care of Burt and the family as I know you are already taking care of DEAR AUDREY. I will miss you so very much. As you use to say to me , "listen to your mom". I will try to hear your voice. I'll keep an eye on the church for you although noone could ever fill your shoes. Love you so much.

I first met Audrey at Land O Lakes Methodist Church one Sunday morning. My then 2 year old daughter, also named Audrey, was running off from me down the hall towards the Sunday school rooms. As I was sternly shouting..."Audrey stop! Audrey, come here! Audrey, where are you?!" a smiling face turned to me in the breezeway and asked, "Does someone have a child named Audrey?" as I admitted that yes, she was mine, Audrey Tillet smiled back and said, "Oh, I thought you were looking for me." She was the first person and name I knew and remember at FUMCLOL. She also welcomed our family. along with Pastor Guy and Lynda, at a newcomers meet & greet, and prepared a wonderful meal for us all at the church. We will miss her smile and sense of humor. Our sympathies to her family for their loss today, but we rejoice in knowing that she is blessing us all in God's Kingdom. Jolie, Michael, Audrey & Hannah Smith

Memaw, I know you are in a better place frollicking with the angels and and walking hand in hand with Jesus (I am sure just talking his head off!). You have always had a way of touching the peoples lives of which you cross. I was blessed to have you as a Grandmother and I will miss you dearly. Thinking about all the times I would get up early with you while visiting and having a cup of tea in the early morning brings a smile to my face!! I love you Memaw and I will miss you but I know I will see you once again at the pearly gates waiting with a cup of tea in your hand!

Audrey, I can't believe you are gone. I will miss you very, very much. Thanks for always keeping me on track, especially in my first years of ministry here at First UMC of LOL. You were always someone that I could count on to help and I hope to one day have as many meaningful stories as you did about serving teenagers. You are the kind of person who has left the world better than you found it. Until we meet again, Christina <3
