Obituary of Luz M. Baerga

BAERGA, Luz M., 92, of Land O’ Lakes, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010. She was born in Maunabo, Puerto Rico and moved to Florida in 1995. Luz was a dedicated wife and a loving mother and grandmother. She devoted her time to caring for her family. Luz was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Land O’ Lakes. She had been a volunteer with Talleres De Oración Y Vida in Puerto Rico. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucas Muñiz Sr; son, Lucas Alfonso; and son-in-law, William Vélez. Luz is survived by her sons, Alfonso Muñiz and his wife, Nilda of Ft. Walton Beach, FL., Tommy Muñiz and his wife, Zory of Middletown, DE., and stepson, Lucas Muñiz Gregory of Hanes City, FL.; daughters, Mariangely Muñiz of Ponce, PR., and Ruby and her husband, Victor Garcia of Land O’ Lakes; seventeen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Our family wishes to give special thanks to María Pérez for all the special care and help she gave our mother. Memorial donations may be made to Gulfside Regional Hospice. A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Land O' Lakes at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27th.
