Obituary of Loretta Mae Noble

NOBLE, Loretta Mae Myers, 77, of Land O’ Lakes, FL formerly of Commerce Twp, MI, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010. After suffering a combination of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, Loretta passed away peacefully at her home in Florida. She was born and raised in Pierce, West Virginia, the daughter of Mason Henry and Virginia Alice Myers. Loretta graduated from Parsons High School in 1949 and followed sisters Marguerite Nazarko and Elma Roy from their local coal town to Detroit. She diligently worked her way to the position of the Purchasing Manager for what was then North American Rockwell. Loretta married Samuel Noble on July 29, 1966 and became the stepmother of Nancy Lorraine (Drazen) and Rudie Dwayne Noble. Loretta was a loving grandmother to Brendan and Breana, the children of Rudie and Diana Noble. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Beatrice Nichols. Loretta is survived by her sisters Marguerite, Elma, Betty Scaggs, Dorothy Bell, and her brother Dale Myers. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends who were blessed to have known her. Loretta loved nature, especially feeding the fish in her pond, traveling, having fun with friends and playing with the children. Loretta touched the lives of many people with her practical approach and realistic outlook on life. A funeral service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10th at Loyless Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery. Loretta’s family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family requests donations be sent in Loretta’s name to your local Humane Society, or the American Red Cross to help them continue the troubled people of Haiti.
