Obituary of Kay Lamar Collins
COLLINS, Kay Lamar, 66, of Tampa, FL passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010. He was born in Tampa, FL and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He retired as a painting contractor and owned and operated S & K Painting. Kay was a member of the Northwest Community Church in Tampa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Grady Collins; brother, Larry; sister, Esther Baldwin and niece and nephew, Christy and Larry Collins, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bobbie; son, Scott and his wife, Kissandra of Tampa; daughter, Tracey and her boy friend, Joseph Beaudoin; six grandchildren, Brittany, Caleb, Joshua, Grace, Adam and Shane; great grandson, Brandon; nieces and nephews including Susie and Mike Cornette and Jimmy Baldwin, as well as, the Kearns and Beckman families. Donations may be made to the Northwest Community Church Benevolence Fund. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19th at the Northwest Community Church. A visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18th at the Northwest Community Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Thonotosassa.
