Hey Dad, I guess time must be moving along. I don't think of you as often...it seemed like for the first year you were the first thoughts of my morning as I awoke. I love you and know that you have learned of the great God of Heaven. Sometimes I wish He wouldn't tarry...life can get so hard, yet I know that His timing is perfect. Miss you.

Remember Me To the living, I am gone, To the sorrowful, I will never return, But to the happy, I am at peace, And to the faithful, I have never left. I cannot speak, but I can listen. I cannot be seen, but I can be heard. So as you stand upon a shore gazing at a beautiful sea- As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity- Remember me. Remember me in your heart: Your thoughts, and your memories, Of the times we loved, The times we cried, The times we laughed. For if you always think of me, I will never have gone.

Dad, What can I say? It is the hope in Jesus's finished work on the cross and the incredible gift of salvation that allows me to say I'll see you again and NOT good-bye. My days are filled with countless thoughts of you and that joyful spirit you showed in the face of death. Courage, strength, love, gratitude and faithfulness were demonstrated constantly in your life and the days leading up to your surgery-you were not a coward, you were a man of strength. I miss you and sometimes think about asking you a history question - we're studying the Huns - and for a moment you are still here, then.... The tears still come but I am comforted by the thought that God was and is so merciful...He preserved an image in my heart and mind that will not be erased. I love you dad, and always will. You grappled with His death and now I trust that all your questions are answered and that you are basking in the light of THE SAVIOR'S love. God created radio waves...did He make you an amazing Ham Radio setup. Save me a seat at the Savior's feet, let's sip some coffee as we are awed at God and His amazing love. Wanna run a heavenly 5K with me?...the Bible paints an incredible picture of the New Heaven and New Earth...now I have the hope that you know!!! Resting in Him and missing you. I love you...Tin-tin

It was great to be able to remain in touch with John ever since going to college together. The great hobby of amateur radio, which John loved, enabled us to maintain our friendship whether I was in Maryland or Nova Scotia. John will be sincerely missed.

Our sincerest symphathies and condolences to you Nina, John and Kelly and all the members of your family. We are shocked and saddened. While we barely knew John, he was a very friendly and caring man to us. He always had a smile on his face. We especially remember him for his kind words and prayers he gave us for our daughter. We have always been appreciative and thankful for that. May he rest in peace and I know he has been blessed by God.
