Obituary of Josephine Costa Bobbitt

BOBBITT, Josephine, 89, of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico and formerly of Lutz, FL passed away Monday, December 7, 2009 in Land O’ Lakes, FL. She was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, where she studied and became a registered nurse. As a nurse, she met Willard R. Bobbitt, her husband, who served in the Air Force and as a wife and mother, traveled the world. After retirement in 1987, Josephine and Willard moved to Lutz, where Josephine became a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Land O’ Lakes. Mrs. Bobbitt was preceded in death by her husband, Willard and her youngest son, Anthony. She is survived by her children: Bill Bobbitt of Brandon, FL, and Jocarol Rampolla of Guaynabo, PR; grandchildren: Julie Bobbitt of Dallas, TX and Wendy Isakson of Bellingham, WA, Mike Bobbitt USAF, Maria Gorgas of Ft. Smith, AK, Consuelo, Carolina and Sarah Rampolla of Guaynabo, PR, Elena Rampolla of Chicago, IL; Mandy of North Carolina; sister, Eva Rullan; 12 great grandchildren and her extended family of Debbie Oakes-Monaghan, her children Kristyn, Brendan and Kyle Monaghan. A memorial mass was celebrated at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church December 18, 2009 and interment followed at Florida National Cemetery.
