Obituary of Thomas O. Caswell

CASWELL, Thomas Orison “Tom”, 69, of Leo, IN passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009, while vacationing in Wesley Chapel, FL. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN and was raised in the Catholic faith. He retired from Dana Corporation where he worked for over 30 years at the Fort Wayne plant. Tom served in the US Army National Guard of Angola, IN, and served as a Sergeant First Class in the Army Reserve of Fort Wayne, IN. He was a member of the American Legion Post 423 in Orland, IN, and a former member of American Legion Post 409 in Leo, IN. Tom was a former member of the Auburn Moose. He loved spending time at the lake with his family and had a passion for antique boats, motors and vacationing in Florida. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and mentor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burnell Orison and Garry Marie. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judith Ann; four daughters, Holly Ann McDevitt and her husband, Mark; Lori Lynne Caswell, Paula Jean Yoder and her husband, Joel Yoder, Ronda Jane Gomez and her husband, Chris; two sons, Adam Wade Caswell and his wife, Amanda (DeRita), Thomas Orison Caswell II and his wife, Kelly (Bercaw); sister, Kathleen Jesse of Manchester, TN; grandchildren, Brook, Amber and Bryce McDevitt, Nicholas Caswell, Spencer and Brian Yoder, Ian and Xan Gomez, Joseph Caswell, Kylie and Thomas Orison Caswell III; many friends, especially those who Tom took on as being a father figure.
