Obituary of Reverend William B. Johnson

JOHNSON, Rev. William B. Jr., 93, of Tampa passed away July 15, 2009. He was a Pastor of several churches including Citrus Park Baptist, Oak Grove Baptist and Golden Glades Baptist. He served as prison chaplain for 30 years. During World War II he served our country in the Army and the Air Force. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Lutz. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Eva; two sons, Harold and Ralph and great-grandson Eric. He is survived by devoted daughters-in-law, Peggy and Dariel; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and a brother and sister. Services will be held on Monday, July 20, at 2:00 p.m. at 1st Baptist Church of Lutz followed by interment at Salem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 19, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Loyless Funeral Home.
