Obituary of James L Weir

WEIR, James, “Jim”, 74, of Land O’ Lakes, FL passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009. He was born in Warrensburg, MO and moved to Land O’ Lakes in 1985. He was a US Army Veteran and life time member of AMVETS Post 9 in Odessa, FL. He supervised poultry processing for more than 40 years and retired from Swift’s Company. Jim loved his family, enjoyed working, keeping busy and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Land O’ Lakes. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Hall. He is survived by he wife, Carol, of 32 years; two sons, Casey Bryan and Daniel Bryan and his wife, Sheila both of MO; three daughters, Kimberly Casdorph and Bill Bly of MO; Melinda and her husband, Eric Toler of Land O’ Lakes and Laura and her husband, Jason Woodall of Clearwater; brother, Eric and his wife Mary of MO; eighteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends for visitation service at Loyless Funeral Home on Thursday, June 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial celebration of his life will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Land O’ Lakes on Sunday, June 28th at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery. hn glover death datepsychology and lung cancer
