Obituary of Margaret Alsop Bedingfield

BEDINGFIELD, Margaret “Peggy” Alsop, 88, passed away peacefully in her home in Land O’ Lakes, FL on June 14, 2009. She lived a full and happy life surrounded by her three children, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren whose presence filled her with immense love and joy. Regular family gatherings, kept all of her offspring in close touch throughout her life. Deeply interested in all aspects of the world, she was a naturalist and avid birdwatcher, a regular beach goer, a sailor in her younger years, a world traveler, and a lover of classical music and books. For years she was an active member of the YMCA at Northdale. She is pre-deceased by her husband, John Albert Bedingfield and son-in-law, William McDuffie (Bill) Fleming and survived by their children, Suzanne B. Fleming, John Alsop Bedingfield and Barbara, and Margaret B. Sellari and Reed Turner. Also, surviving are sisters, Annette Case of Columbia, Missouri, Mary Lou Steinmetz and husband, Rodney Steinmetz of Tampa, along with brother-in-law Milton Bedinfield and Julie of Tampa. Grandchildren include Kathryn Kieffer, William McDuffie(Mac) Fleming, Jr., Michael Bedingfield Fleming, Johann Baird Bedingfield, Jacob Casimir Bedingfield and Corey Kempton. Great Grandchildren include Trey, Blake, Reid, Weston and Spencer Fleming. All her family and friends will miss her enthusiastic lust for life.
