Obituary of John William Mears

MEARS, John W., better known as Jack, 68, from Land O’ Lakes, FL passed away from this world on May 24, 2009 at the Hernando Pasco Hospice in Dade City. Jack was a retired Master Sergeant of the U. S. Air Force and was retired from the Tampa Tribune. He was proceeded in death by his first wife, Judith A. Mears; his father, Joseph Mears; his mother, Thirza Potter Mears; two brothers, Joe and Bobby Mears. Jack leaves behind his wife, Judy K. Mears of Land O’ Lakes; two daughters, Debbie Swaim and Pam Venegas both of Georgia; three sons, Mike Mears of Land O’ Lakes, John Hopper and Joseph Grim both of Alabama; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and nephew, Mike Mears of Maryland. A celebration of his life will be held at the Moose Lodge 1903 in Land O’ Lakes on May 30th at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Hernando Pasco Hospice.
