Obituary of Charles Goodrich Belville

BELVILLE, Charles “Charlie” Goodrich, 82, of Wesley Chapel, FL passed away Monday, April 27, 2009 at his home under the comfort, care and love of his family and Gulfside Regional Hospice. Charlie was born in Springfield, VT and moved to FL from NH in 2000. He was a decorated Navy veteran who served in WWII on the USS LCI 534, Jeffers, YMS 317 and Grosbeak. He worked as a machinist while in the Navy, as well as a civilian. He also worked as a cattle farmer. Charlie was a pool player and member of the VFW Post 771 (Springfield, VT); a lifetime member of the Moose Club Lodge 679 (Springfield, VT); F.O.E. 3752 (Zephyrhills, FL) and American Legion Post 0004 (Keene, NH). He is preceded in death by his mother Lucy; father, Charles; sons, Dennis “Butch” and Calvin all of Springfield, VT; brothers, Arthur and Kenny and a great grandchild Tanner. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Opal; son, David of Sterling, MA; daughter, Helen of Claremont, NH; grandchildren, Michael of Springfield, VT; Scott, Steve, Matthew and Alison of Sterling, Clinton and Warren, MA; Cheri and Robert of Witney, TX; Roseanne of Claremont, NH and nieces, nephews, stepchildren, grandchildren and great grandchildren. hn glover death datepsychology and lung cancer
