Obituary of Ellen A. Bean

BEAN, Ellen Dora Airey, passed into glory Thursday, December 25, 2008. She was born in Chicago and moved with her husband Chuck Bean to FL in the early 1950’s and to Land O’ Lakes in 1969. A lifelong educator, she taught in Sanders Elementary for 21 years. On her retirement, she founded Li’l Lambs Preschool at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and served as the executive director until her death. She was a charter member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, active in AARP, ADK, the Lutz-Land O’ Lakes Women’s Club and the Heritage Park Foundation. She is survived by her daughter, Laura Ellen Bean Melrose of Kitsap County, WA; son, Jason Douglas Bean of Land O’ Lakes, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, as well as, scores of friends in the Land O’ Lakes and Lutz communities. A memorial service is schedule for Saturday, January 24 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 20735 Leonard Road, Lutz, FL 33558, time to be announced at a later date.
