Obituary of James A. Parton

PARTON, James A., 73, of Tampa passed away October 4, 2008, leaving the arms of his loving family, to the arms of his loving Lord. He was born August 4th, 1935, in Tullahoma, TN and was a long time resident of the Tampa Bay area. He graduated from S.E. Bible College and was the founder and Pastor of Citrus Park Assembly of God for 30 years. He drove seventeen years for Hillsborough County schools and worked with his sons family owned Tampa Sanitary Service. He loved singing to his children and grandchildren, and playing Uno “NuNo” cards and saying “By Me” to pass. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sarah “Annie”; father, Mills; brothers, J.W. and Mills Jr. and grandson Christopher Parton. He is survived by his wife Sarah of 53 years; five children, Bonnie (John Russo), Benny (Jeanne), Barry (Debbie), Betty (Rick) Wolfe, Johnny Ray (Rhonda); brother, Johnny; sisters, Louise, Betty Jo, Sue, Judith, Frances; seventeen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 8th at 10 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A Celebration of his Life will follow on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Family Worship Center (formerly known as Citrus Park Assembly of God Church).
