Obituary of Elisabeth M. Mixon

MIXON, Elisabeth M. (Betsy) 83, of Tampa, passed away on Monday September 15, 2008. She was born in Battle Creek, MI & moved to Tampa as a young women. Betsy contributed to her Methodist Faith and community volunteering her time and talents. Over the years she was involved in the Gasparilla Distance Classic, USF Radio Reading Service, MOSI & her church. She was a former member of Business and Professional Women, Tampa Historical Society and Florida Genealogical Society.She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest H. Mixon, Jr. She is survived by her sons; F. Donald Mixon and his wife Ruth of St.Petersburg, J. Ronald Mixon and his wife Deborah of Land O’Lakes and John P. Mixon of Chatsworth, GA.; Five grandchildren; Charity, Michelle, Brian, David & Adam. Five great- grandchildren; Andrea, Caitlyn, Mya, Carissa, Bryson,. One sister; Sally Czerwonka of Fairfield, OH. several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a very large circle of friends. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 18th at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service with burial to follow at Dade City Cemetery.
