Obituary of Theodore A. Lundeen

Lundeen, Theodore A. “Ted” passed away in Wesley Chapel on Saturday, July 5, 2008. He was born in Long Island, NY and raised in Oakland, FL. He lived in Miami Beach, FL for 53 years before moving to Tampa in 2003. He served in the Army Air Corps during Word War II and flew 100 combat missions as squadron leader attaining the rank of Captain and received the distinguished Flying Cross Medal. He was a Chrysler Gold Star mechanic for 35 years and also an amateur ham radio operator. He was a practicing Catholic at Our Lady of The Rosary Church in Land O’ Lakes for the past five years and previous 50 years at St. Patrick’s Church in Miami Beach, FL. He was loved and admired as a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. To know him was to love him. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Elise Lundeen; his daughter Therese Heim and son Thomas Lundeen. He is survived by daughter, Carol Carroll and son-in-law David Carroll of Wesley Chapel; son, Michael of Houston, TX; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2008. Inurnment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
