Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Lomax

LOMAX, Mary Elizabeth Bush, 80, of Land O’ Lakes, FL born in Miami, FL peacefully entered into eternal rest safely in the arms of her Lord Jesus on May 26, 2008. Mary graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1947. She worked at the Rustic Roller Rink collecting tickets where she met her husband of 57 years, George Lomax. She graduated from Cosmetology School and was a hairdresser for several years. Mary later became the mother of four and stayed home to care for them. She attended Ives Dairy Road Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She is survived by her loving husband, George; daughters, Debbie Lomax, Cindy Raison (Richard), Mary Lou Hoard; son George, Jr (Gail) of Ft. White, FL; sisters, Myrtle Zapetis of Miami Springs, Jane Moss (Bill) of Ft. Lauderdale, Colleen Styles (Bob) of Gainesville and Doris Houser (Stanton) of Lutz; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mary’s home was a warm open place for families and friends to meet and share love and laughter. She was very loving, caring and generous friend, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A Memorial Service will be held at Willow Bend Community Church, Saturday May 31 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gulfside Hospice or Willow Bend Community Church. hn glover death datepsychology and lung cancer
