Obituary of Elbert William Nasworthy

NASWORTHY, Elbert William, 79, of Plant City, Florida, went home to his Lord and Savior January 22, 2008 at his home. A Tampa native, Mr. Nasworthy graduated from Jefferson High School and the University of Tampa. He was founder and co-owner of Buel Electric Wholesaler and was involved in several other business interests until his retirement. He lived in Tampa, Brandon and Plant City with his family until his death. He was an ordained deacon and served in several bay area Southern Baptist churches for over fifty years. He is survived by his wife, Thelma of 59 ½ years; son, Pastor Elbert Jr. and wife Elaine; daughter Karen Sue Bigbie; grandchildren, Lacey Cobb and husband Robert, Erik Nasworthy and wife Amanda, and Ryan Bigbie; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Isabella Cobb; brother Trent Stallings and wife Ana; sister, Judith Flores and husband Armando; several nieces and nephews and his beloved father Buford T. Stallings. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 25th at Myrtle Lake Baptist Church in Land O Lakes, Fl. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Orange Hill Cemetery in Tampa.
