Obituary of Eugene Jackson Stafford

STAFFORD, Eugene “Gene”, 76, of Land O’ Lakes, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2006, at his home. He was born in Huntington, WV and moved to the Bay Area from Hampton, VA in 1972. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired in 1972 after serving 25 years in the Air Force. He spent the following years working as a realtor and with the Hillsborough County Property Appraiser’s office. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce; three sons, Mark & wife Stefanee of Boca Raton, FL, Terry of Tucson, AZ, Brett of Woodstock, GA; two sisters, R. Sue Gillespie & husband Marshall of Sarasota, FL, Mitzi Lange & husband Bob of Prescott, AZ; and two grandchildren, Olivia & Luke Stafford of Boca Raton, FL. A Funeral Service will be held at Loyless Funeral Home on Monday at 2:00PM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Military Honors will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00AM at Florida National Cemetery.
