Obituary of John C. Allen

ALLEN, John C., 69, of Land O’ Lakes, passed away Monday, July 9, 2007. He was born in Croswell, MI. He recently retired as a superintendent with Larkin Contracting Inc after 30 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Lutz & of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen & Harold Allen. He is survived by his wife, Betty F. Allen; sons, Jeffery S. Allen & wife Debbie, Paul B. Allen & wife Tracy & granddaughter Brianna; stepsons, Brian Powell, Christopher Powell & wife Jami & their daughters, Amanda & McKenna; Daryl Powell, Steven Stimac & wife Bea & their son Neil; sister, Grace Nunn & husband Wallace of Pt. Huron, MI; brother Harold Allen, Jr. & wife Linda, North Street, MI; Aunt Sylvia Hoppenworth of Croswell, MI; brother-in-law, Barry Sowerby of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada; & several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at Loyless Funeral Home on Saturday at 2:00PM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
