Obituary of Melody C. Warner
WARNER, Melody C., 72, of Land O’ Lakes, Florida passed away November 15, 2018. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, graduated from Denison University and then moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Melody worked for the railroad Retirement Board and later the Veteran's Administration where she met her husband, Dean. After their marriage, they moved to Washington D.C. and Melody, over time, worked her way up in the Veteran’s Administration to be an Assistant to the Director of the Veteran's Administration.
In retirement, Melody conducted extensive research in genealogy. She loved history, reading and traveling. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, all of whom will greatly miss her. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Dean, and her father, Richard F. Carpenter. She is survived by her mother, Mary E. Carpenter; brothers, Richard A. Carpenter and his wife, Judith, Stephen P. Carpenter; sister in law, Margie Widner; and many nieces and nephews, Pam, Phillip, Jason, Kendra, Jessica, Seth, Calli, Celia, Christopher, Caden, Benjamin and Harrison.
