Obituary of Kathryn Thomas

THOMAS, Kathryn “Kathy,” 71, of Lutz, Florida passed away September 27, 2018. She was born in Codorus Township in York County, Pennsylvania and moved to Florida to settle with her son, Richard in 2015. Kathy was Christian in faith. She enjoyed cooking and hosting family gatherings. Her loved ones recall that she made the best chicken pot pie and chicken noodle soup. Kathy enjoyed canning and pickling her own food. She loved to garden and had quite the green thumb. She also loved her dogs, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Lyle Thomas. She is survived by her sons, Richard Grim, Michael Grim, Brian Thomas, and Burns Thomas; her daughters, Karen Himes, and Kimberly Scamoffo; three brothers; three sisters; ten grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kathy’s name to a local animal shelter of your choice.
