Obituary of Matthew J. Taheri

TAHERI- Matthew J., 38, of Land O’ Lakes FL passed away on Thursday, April 27th 2023. He was born in New York City and moved back to Florida from Long Island in 2013. Matt was the Vice President, Global Head of Payment Partner Technical Engagement for JP Morgan Chase. He was a patched member of the Free Runners Masonic Order and a Master Mason with Hillsborough Lodge 25, where he served as a prior Junior Steward and Marshall.  Matt was the current Marshall with the Zendah Grotto in Tampa, FL.  Matt was also a former Captain with the Sea Cliff Fire Department on Long Island, NY.

Beloved husband of Kelly (Popowski). Devoted and loving father to Madelyn and Logan. Loving son of Alice Taheri and Michael Taheri, son in-law of Wendi Czuprynski and Dan Popowski. Cherished brother of Shawn and Sally Taheri, and Amanda Taheri. Loving brother in-law to Scott and Ashley Popowski, and Brian Popowski. Loving uncle to Palmer and Clayton.

Visitation will be held on Saturday May 6th at 10:00 am at Loyless Funeral Home, 5310 Land O’ Lakes Blvd, Land O’ Lakes, FL 34639, with a service to follow at 11:00 am.  Interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Dr., Trinity, FL 34655 following the service.
