Obituary of Loretta M Mather

Loretta M. Mather, 68 of Zephyrhills, Florida passed away on March 28, 2023, after a brave battle with cancer. She was a fighter and she never once thought of quitting. She was born in Bridgeton, New Jersey, spent many years in Winchester, Virginia, and moved to be closer to her children and grandchildren in Zephyrhills, FL.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Mather, and parents, Ludwik and Elly Kaczmarczyk.

She leaves behind her daughters, Mandy and Tara; four grandchildren, Zachery, Elijah, Kelsie, and Charlotte; her sons-in-law Mardy and James; her sister and brother-in-law, Angel and Manny; her nephew, Frank; her nephew and his wife, Rob and Jackie.

Loretta loved life. She enjoyed the mountains, and she relished the sands of any beach. Most of all, she adored her family. She spent hours basking in the sun, hours hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, hours on the back of a Harley, and day upon day spending time with her family and many friends. She was always up for a family “field trip” to parks, museums, beaches, haunted trails, ICE and to anywhere that would provide a fun time with her family. 

She made friends everywhere she went and enjoyed times with them at restaurants, parties, playing cards, riding Harleys and going to Harley events, and attending church and volunteering.

In remembrance of Loretta’s life, the family asks in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Life Path Hospice A Chapter’s Health Affiliate at chaptershealth.org.
