Obituary of Casie Pease

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Casie Roschelle Maria Fornero Pease, 54, of Wesley Chapel, Florida. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle against cancer.

Casie was a loving mother to her 2 sons Michael and John, a devoted wife of 30 years to her husband Michael, a caring and thoughtful daughter and daughter-in-law, a highly respected and talented teacher for almost 28 years and a cherished and loyal friend to so many. Her passing has left an overwhelming sense of grief and loss in the hearts of those who knew her.

She attended Lamar High School and the University of Texas at Arlington,Texas and after moving to Florida she continued her studies and graduated with honors from the University of South Florida in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. She started her teaching career at Cannella Elementary for 6 years before settling at Clark Elementary where she taught 4th grade and then 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade gifted mathematics.

Casie had a heart and love of teaching that touched so many children and impacted so many lives. She was an important figure in shaping countless students and educators alike. She pushed, encouraged and mentored everyone to become the best versions of themselves. She never shied away from a challenge and her resilience in the face of adversity and illness was truly inspiring. Her attitude and unwavering faith in the power of hard work and perseverance touched the lives of everyone she met.

By far her favorite title was that of-mom. She took great pride in all Michael and John’s accomplishments and always supported their dreams and goals. She enjoyed all family activities, going to all sporting events cheering on her boys, celebrating any Holiday or special occasion, shopping and challenging herself to do outdoor activities. Casie also loved walking her beloved dog Jax and relaxing and sipping her unsweet tea with lemon in the tranquility of her backyard surrounded by the Florida wildlife.

She leaves behind her husband Michael Franklin Pease, her sons Michael Monroe and John Michael Pease, her mom Joyce Ann Scarborough Fornero, her brother John Dave Modesto Fornero and countless extended family members, friends and colleagues. She was predeceased by her father Roger John Fornero, her grandparents Virginia Maria Menendez Scarborough (Ma) and Dave Richard Scarborough and John Modesto Fornero and Salma Lorene Fornero.

Casie was truly inspirational and a beautiful person inside and out. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and touched.
