I’ve always wanted to reconnect to Mrs Pease to tell her the impact she made in my life. She was my 3rd grade teacher in 1999-2000. I remember every day her beautiful curled brown hair and thinking she was the most beautiful teacher. I was teased the “teachers pet” but I wanted to be just like her. She wrote in my yearbook “if I had a daughter I’d wish her to be just like you”. It stuck with my forever. Today I stumbled across her obituary and saddens me I never could share with her how much she influenced me to be a teacher. Rest in peace. Love, Nicole (Zeratsky) Mulligan

Mrs. Pease was not just my fourth grade teacher, she was my greatest role model. That may sound cheesy but let me tell you why. My fondest memory of her was when she assisted me in writing, practicing and performing my Tropicana speech titled “My fourth grade teacher speaks a foreign language.” The speech was about her and what at the time, I thought were crazy and useless writing skills that she taught me and my classmates every day after lunch. She showed me how to put just the right amount of sass, humor and charisma into presenting my speech… which are all coincidentally nouns turned adjectives that could describe her (look at how I still remember the grammar lessons she taught me haha). Anyways, her guidance and ability to teach a young woman to have the poise to carry herself well in front of a crowd of people was something that i will not soon forget. With her help I was able to place 1st and go to the state competition, which sparked the brewing self confidence that has encouraged me to be the woman I am today. To this day I still apply the writing and public speaking skills she taught me whether it be in essays or interviews. Since then I have graduated from West Point and gone onto reach amazing goals in my career… only thanks to my fourth grade teacher who I thought spoke a foreign language. What I didn’t realize was that Mrs. Pease spoke a language that resonated with the youth who are now successful business men and women, engineers and educators just like her. Simply put, Mrs. Pease might have not known it at the time but her delicate touch on each and everyone of the children’s lives that she taught has had more of an impact on them then they’d like to admit. It’s not until someone is gone do you really take the time to appreciate how they genuinely changed the course of your life. I am beyond grateful that I had Mrs. Pease as a teacher and mentor. She left such a huge mark on this world and knowing that she is resting easy leaves me at peace. I love you Mrs. Pease.

Mrs. Peace was my 3rd 4th and 5th grade teacher. When I didn't have any school supplies she would buy it. When my parents were divorcing she helped me. She helped me with every science project. She changed my life in every way possible. She called me Smiley. She made me believe in myself. She's the reason I got into sports. I am so thankful for her. She was like my second mom.

My condolences to the family, my prayers are with you. I grew up with Casie here in Texas. I have so many precious memories of Casie. She was the best friend anyone could ask for. I was sad when Casie moved to Florida but so happy when she flew back to be a bridesmaid in my wedding back in 1991. I love my friend and will never forget her, she will forever be in my thoughts. Where do I begin? My colleague, my friend, my pink sister, my hero. You were a crutch and a support during our breast cancer diagnosis and treatments. You were the most amazing teacher for my Brendan and Ashley. You molded them into the adults they have become. You were a role model and had such patience with them. You went above and beyond your teacher hours to help my daughter Ashley when she was ill for months in 4th grade. She would not have had a smooth transition to 5th grade without your kindness and compassion. This void you left will never be filled by anyone else ever. You were one of a kind. I will love you forever and be thankful for you always.
