Obituary of Margaret Buscarino

Margaret Ann Buscarino, 87, of Valrico, Florida passed away on December 11, 2022. She was born in Manhattan, New York, a city that she always spoke fond of with memories and much love.

Margaret (Peggy) was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Along with her husband Sal, she raised her four children in Plainview, Long Island. In 1999 Peggy and Sal moved to Florida.

Aside from her family, Peggy’s passion was her affiliation with her church. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. She donated much of her time at the food pantry, making stuffed bears for hospitalized children, worked in the church office, and participated in church conferences.

Peggy also had a passion for travel. She visited many beautiful places around the world with her husband Sal. She was an avid reader and always had a zest for knowledge.

Peggy sadly leaves behind her loving husband, Salvatore “Sal” Charles Buscarino, to whom she was married for 68 years, Her four children: Cathy (Dave), Cindy (Elmer), Joanne (Eric) and Stephen (Linda). And her amazingly beautiful 12 grandchildren and 6 adoring great grandchildren.

Dementia is a cruel and unrelenting disease. It gradually stripped Peggy of her ability to function. Although she will be missed dearly by her family and all who loved her, she is now at peace with her God and will forever be looking over her family with love and pride.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to LBDA (Lewy Body Dementia Association).
