Obituary of Penny Jane Berger

Penny Jane Berger Loving Mother and Nana age 78, a former longtime resident of Punta Gorda, FL with family by her side died peacefully on November 14, 2022 following a courageous battle with cancer. Proceed in death by her husband Vincent T. Berger, Jr. Survived by her daughter, Paige Nardi (Patrick) and son, Vincent T Berger, III ( Beth); brother, Donald Patston (Marilyn);and  five grandchildren, Patrick and Payton Nardi, Belinda Napier, Alexander and Addison Berger. Penny was born in Livingston, New Jersey however spent most of her life in San Jose California. Penny graduated from California Poly Technical State University, with her Bachelor of Science. She joined the American Red Cross and became a “Donut Dolly”. It was while station in Korea that she met Vincent. They married in Connecticut and started their family moving more than 6 times before settling in Mahtomedi, MN. Penny and Vincent then retired to Punta Gorda in 2005. Penny was Catholic in Faith and a former Parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Punta Gorda.  She had a career in banking spanning over 40 years and is considered a pioneer in her Industry. She was an avid and accomplished painter, loved to travel, shop and most of all loved being with her family and friends.
