Obituary of Jean Fain White

Jean Fain White, 87, of Land O' Lakes, Florida passed away September 2, 2022. She was born in Shellman, Georgia in 1935. She graduated from Clay County High School in 1953, where she played on the high school basketball team. In 1956, she married Kenneth White. Jean was an active member of First Baptist Church of Lutz since 1984, where she was very involved in numerous ministries. Jean enjoyed cooking, playing tennis, bowling, sewing for her children, grandchildren, and church family. Above all, Jean loved spending time with her family and friends. She was known to all that knew her for her very loving, giving, and generous attitude toward everyone.

Jean is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Kenneth White; survived by her daughter, Tara White Bower (Bryant (Bing)); sons, James Bradley White (Beth) and John Kevin White (Barbara); six grandchildren, Erin, Andrew (Bayleigh), Wesley, Lauren (Mark), Jason (Arni), and Natalie; great grandchildren, Tate and Callen and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will take place Friday, September 16, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Lutz. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. in Bushnell, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to First Baptist Church of Lutz, designated to the Church Building Fund.
