I first met Dr.Beams when the took me as a patient and it was the day I found out I was 6 weeks pregnant, after finding out I miscarried 7 times. Out of the goodness or his heart he spent 6hrs going thru every single psych med I was on reading page by page from the Physical's Desk Reference.
Dr. Beams NEVER turned his back on me even once and moved heaven and Earth to get whatever prior authorizations I needed. I was his patient for from 21-43.
I cannot begin to imagine being here to write this.
Thank you Dr. Beams, Karen his equally amazing officer Manger.
I pray and send my thoughts, and I know how hollow it sounds but it is all I can do from where I am. Dr. Beams absolutely loved to talk about his daughter, his face would always break into a megawatt smile filled with love and pride. I pray all the happy memories helps to ease the grief you are going thru.
May God give you solace, comfort, and hold you in his arms as you grieve.

I am so sorry to hear about Dr Bean's death he was such a wonderful man as everyone else knows he makes such a great impact on many people's lives I just wanted to reach out to him one more time I was a patient if this 20 years ago and he used to make me write contracts with me after I got out of the hospital weekly I had to make promise contracts that I would not kill myself that week. He kept me alive and really showed that he cared for over 5 years 5 years. I just wanted to let him know that I was following God's purpose and I will be getting my Master's in Phycology through GCU in Arizona in the spring of 2024 and I also realized that God knows when I will leave this earth. I only wish I had a dad like him. Jean Burke

It is so hard to put into words what Jeff has meant to me. I first met Jeff when we played together in the Ohio Shrine game back in college. We just hit it off like we knew each other forever, we were like Brothers. I met his family and I recall how loving, kind and friendly that they were to me.
We stayed in touch by either visiting or phone calls and we talked about our families, our jobs, OU, The Cleveland Browns, his life, my life....everything that best friends talk about . He loved talking about his love for the Lord, his daughter Haley, his brothers and sister and his parents. His Father was the most dynamic preacher i'd ever heard. He also loved talking about History and Sports. Sometimes it was hard to get a word in when he was focused in on a subject.I can truly say that we loved each other..
He reminded me a lot of his Father.
He was like a giant teddy bear. Who in the heck does a thousand push ups a day. He told me he wanted to get in the Guinness book of world records for doing the most push ups for 65 and older men. I told him he was nuts. He reminded me that he was a psychiatrist and that he could treat himself for being nuts....a little Beamer humor.
I just want to give my deepest sympathy and my Love to his entire family. I lost a friend and a brother but Heaven gained a Loving Angel. God Speed on your new journey Beamer.
Love Ya, A.J.

My sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Beams. I had the privilege of being part of his work family for 17 years. It was always evident that he truly cared about his patients. And because of that, he preferred to focus his time on patient care. As office manager, this meant I was often nagging him to complete administrative tasks. He would get out an index card, ask me exactly what I needed him to do and make a note. The card went back into his coat pocket and there it stayed until the next time I reminded him once again what needed to be done. Even so, it was difficult to be mad at him. He was kind, caring, supportive, and always a source of encouragement to me. When I was having a bad day, he would randomly bursts out in song. And he always made a point of telling staff “I appreciate you”. I will never understand why he put BBQ sauce on his salad. Or how he met his daily goal of doing so many push-ups. All I know is I wish there were more doctors like him. My prayers and thoughts are with Haley and his family. There are no words to describe how deeply saddened I am for your loss. He will be missed by many.

It was such an honor to work at Bay Area Psychiatry with him. His compassion for people shined through, and his clients shared feeling so cared for by him. He seemed to be running late often, as he spent whatever time others needed of him.
Know that our prayers and caring are with you and family,

I worked with Dr. Beams for many years at St Joseph’s Hospital and at Rocky Creek Village were he was gracious enough to help me with our community. He will never be forgotten by his sweet manner with our patients. One very special phrase he would be heard saying to all he encountered…“Appreciate You!”… That very phrase many of my peers and I still say to this very day. He left a positive impact on our entire community. Heaven has surely gained an Angel. My Sincere Condolences to Haley, his Family, Friends and everyone who had the opportunity to know him. We've known Jeff for many, many years through church. He was an absolutely delightful person!! Always had a smile on his face, always had time to talk with you and far more interested in how you were than how he was. We've lost but heaven has gained. Our condolences to his daughter and entire family,

We are saddened to learn of the recent passing of Jeff, whom obviously lived a full life of selfless service to others. He is remembered as a wonderful man from a terrific family. Many happy hours were spent at the Beams' home on N. Galloway St. in Xenia. Sincere condolences are extended to his surviving siblings, and his mother Helen. Special prayers for Mark and Greg, friends forever.

To the Beams family
Dr. Beams patients from Lowell CI are grateful for the care he provided and are at a loss with his passing. At the end of each visit he always looked at you square in the eyes and said "I care about you" and sincerely meant it. They cared about him also and will deeply miss his visits.
