Lon was a senior at olivet when I first met him as a freshman. He was always friendly and remembered my name years later when we came in contact again. He became a good friend always encouraging and concerned about others. He will be missed

At the beginning of the pandemic when we attended church virtually for months, I realized the person I missed the most was Lon.
He always watched for me to come into church and would greet me with a big hug.
He made me feel so welcome at CrossPointe Family church. This meant so much to me because I do not have a big family at our church, it's just me and Ava but Lon made a point to make me feel like he was my family too. He was the kind of person that you knew if he was near you he was looking out for you.
I remember running into him at Dairy Queen one day and just like at church he greeted me with a big hug.
Lon always had a big smile, some kind or funny words to share and a great big hug for everyone.
His life is such an inspiration. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Williams family at this very difficult time.
