Obituary of William Rondal Lewis
William Rondal Lewis, 91, of Land o’ Lakes, Florida passed away on February 16, 2022.
He was born on March 30, 1930 to Renick M. Lewis and Ruby May Lewis in Glasgow, Kentucky.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Sue Ann Lewis and his three brothers; Richard Lewis, Eldon Lewis, and Charles Lewis. He is survived by his daughters Kathy Crockett (Steve), Marilyn Atchley (Gary), his sister Jo Ann Bunch (Don); grandchildren Dana Atchley, Graig Atchley (Becky), Jason Crockett (Erin); great-grandchildren Brett Atchley, Katie Atchley, Will Crockett, and Luke Crockett.
Ron proudly served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He moved his family to Tampa in 1960.
Ron was an avid gardener. His vegetables were coveted by family and friends. True to his Kentucky heritage, he loved horses. Many happy hours were spent riding his horse around his property and the surrounding neighborhood. Ron loved to grill, host a family fish fry after a successful fishing trip, and play cards with his friends. Every holiday, birthday, or excuse to get together was spent with his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and Grampy.
At a later date, Ron will be united with Sue Ann at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
