Obituary of Gerard Scholl
Gerard Scholl, or as many know him by Jerry, passed away on January 22, 2022 at the age of 62. He was born in Brooklyn, New York in April of 1959 and moved to Long Island where where he and his wife Trish raised their children. In 2005, he and his wife moved to Florida. Jerry graduated Class of 1977 from Bishop Ford HS in Brooklyn. After graduation he started a career in the Securities Industry in the Wall Street area before retiring after 40 years. On the weekends, he was a professional clown and went by “Bubbles the Magic Clown”. He enjoyed seeing people smile and hearing their laughter. He always said, “It is what it is” and lived by it. He knew things would not always be perfect but that at difficult moments you do the best you can and keep moving forward. He was very compassionate and was very charitable. He had a passion for helping others in need. He enjoyed spending time with his family, enjoyed trivia games, The Beatles, Yankee games, viewing movies like “The God Father” and “Goodfellas”, camping, and cooking the best sauce in the world. He had a big sweet tooth and some of his favorites were, U-Bet chocolate syrup, chocolate ice cream, Reeses’s pieces, and Mallomars. He could have conversations with anyone and he knew an abundance of information on anything and everything and made sure to share it whether you wanted to hear it or not. His big heart will live on as he instilled so much of his essence in everyone he knew. He had the ability to manifest optimism and had a zest for life that was contagious to all who surrounded him. He is preceded in death by his brother James Scholl; he is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Patricia Scholl; two children, Bryan and Keri and their spouses Colleen and Marlon; his 7 beloved grandchildren, brother Kenneth Scholl and his wife Gerola, brother Charles Scholl, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
