Myra Owens Bullara, 92 of Tampa passed away peacefully at her home on January 8, 2022.  She moved to Tampa in 1947 from Haines City, Florida, where she was raised.  She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Bullara, and her mother, Ethel Owens. Also preceded in death by her siblings, Hetty Ruth, Joyce, David, Bud and Jay (John Rudolph). She is survived by her sisters Peggy Whitehead, Sandra Parysek, her brother Tommy Owens and sister-in-law Adelade Owens.  She is also survived by her loving children, Sharon Lacedonia (Bert), Nancy Hermida (Roland), Vincent Bullara and Judy Usher (Howard).  She leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Myra loved to work in the yard and visit with neighbors until her long battle with Alzheimer's began.  Mom loved cooking for her family and every dish was both enticing and delicious. Special occasions began with a discussion on what mom would make for us to savor.  Mom's best times were spent with her family.  She enjoyed many adventures just to be with her family, like being the official lobster counter down in the keys during mini season, roughing cold weather in Colorado, cruising, Holiday  celebrations.  We will all miss Mom.

Due to the rise in COVID cases a graveside service will be arranged with hopes of a celebration of life in the near future.

Donation to Alzheimer’s Organization can be made in her name.
