I was lucky to become Al's son-in-law. I got to know him quite well during our many trips to Florida. He was great to just hang out and enjoy the day with. He always had good insightful advice for me and made me feel like part of the family. He was a strong Christian man who I grew to love and respect. I will miss many things about him, including his hearty laugh! Until I see you again.

Sorry to hear about Al’s passing. I’ll always remember playing cards on out breaks when we worked at the Springdale PPG paint plant. RIP Al.

Al lived such a wonderful life. A hard working family man who put his family at the forefront of his life. There was so much joy in watching him and Jackie retire to Florida! They were able to enjoy life together and really relax.
Al’s smile was bigger than life and that laugh was the best!
I know he is dancing in heaven with Jackie and that God is holding them close.
A life well lived, Al- you gave so much to so many professionally and personally. Your greatest titles will always be those you held close, husband, dad and always pap pap. Your spirit will live on, enjoy heaven!

I cannot begin to do justice to the man you were.
You taught me so much through your example.
You were one of my greatest teachers!
You showed me how a man should treat a woman.
You loved your children enough to raise us according to the Lord's Word.
You taught me not to take the easy way out in life.
You showed me how hard work and dedication lead to success.
You taught me compassion for others. No one could have done a better job taking care of Mom!!
You were there for me in ways no one else even knew of - at times when I needed you most.
I have praised my Heavenly Father for blessing me with you as my earthly father.
And now I praise Him that you are with Him. That you will have no more pain or loneliness. You will forever be satisfied feasting at His table!
Though I stumble and fall, I will always strive to be the person you taught me to be.
I know with God's Grace that my tears of missing you will turn to joyous memories of you. I love you, Dad.
Until we are reunited in His glory for all eternity.

Putting my feelings into words right now seems impossible, yet it is necessary. I first want to thank The Lord for giving me a great example of how a Christian man should live his life. I am thankful that my father showed love and kindness to everyone he met. He loved my mother with all his heart and dedicated his life to her happiness. It means so much to me that my father made it a priority to be an integral part of my life. Whether being my coach, a spectator at my sporting events, or helping me with my academic endeavors … he was always there. I thank My Lord and Savior that I was blessed, honored and fortunate to spend 56 years of my life with my dad. My dad was a true blessing to all who knew him. I will miss him forever!
