Carl was my supervisor in the Springfield, Illinois I.C.E. office, where he retired from, and was the best boss you could ever hope to have, as well as a good friend and just a great person. Carl loved being a pilot and flying and now he's got to be soaring over us all. Rest in peace brother.

Rest in Peace Carl. You were always a pleasure to work with. We were the same age but you had experience and was willing to share it. I think most of us learned more from you and men like you than from any of our formal training. God Bless You and yours. May they find comfort in knowing you and the life you lived. If there is Choir Practice in Heaven you will find many friends. They will be telling stories, maybe some white lies, of lives we lived. See you down the road.

Carl was my Friend and also acted as dad because my dad lived far away, he looked out for me and fixed things around my house, he was a great neighbor, being that we were both prior Police Officers we had alot to talk about and I will miss him dearly. He didn't know I took this picture of him installing my hose hanger, but I'm glad I did.

I worked with Carl for a number of years in the Chicago INS office and we played on the same softball team. In all the years I knew him I never heard anybody say a bad word about Carl Freeman. He was good friend, a dedicated worker, and maybe the best softball pitcher I ever knew. You could not help but like Carl because he was without pretense or arrogance, and he cared about others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew this fine man.

Carl was our National Active and Retired Federal Employees' organizations Chapter 0402 Springfield, IL President for many years until he and Debbie moved to Florida. Great person, always concerned for everybody else and made sure all members were kept up on what was going on at the State and Federal with federal employee and retiree benefits.
Carl was an outstanding president in so many ways. We missed him when he left and will continue to keep him and Debbie and family in our thoughts and prayers.
Sue Warner, Service Officer, on behalf of Chapter 0402.

I had the privilege of working with Carl in my and his early Border Patrol days in San Diego. He was one of the first senior journeyman with whom I worked and from whom I learned. Carl was, very smart, hard working and had a great sense of humor. Not surprised that Carl retired as an Agent In Charge. RIP Brother in Green! Condolences to his family, may God's serenity , Grace, strength, love, comfort and healing surround you all in your time of loss and sorrow.

It was a great privilege to work with Carl at I & NS. He had a great sense of humor and was very easy to work with. I remember he rolled a few perfect 300 games and was humble about it. It was the joy of the game that he loved. Please accept my heartfelt condolences for this loss. Eternal rest grant to him O Lord, and May perpetual light shine upon him.
May Rest In Peace. Amen
