Obituary of Shelby R.A. Gembutis

Shelby R.A. Gembutis, 18, of Land O’ Lakes, passed away unexpectedly and became God’s newest angel on Friday, June 18, 2021. Shelby was born in Tampa, she lived life to the fullest, and always had a smile on her face. She loved her friends and family with her whole being, and made everyone who she talked to feel special. Shelby could never leave home without her purse, wallet, and a couple bottles of red lipgloss. Her favorite moments were hanging out on the couch with her mama watching movies and playing on her IPad.

She is survived by her devoted parents, Geni and David Gembutis; sisters, Athena Gembutis (Tim Turov) and Farrah Gembutis (Alec Bitondo); and, her paternal grandmother, Judith Aldrich. Also surviving are her aunts and uncles, John Savas, Darcy (Matt) Gagney, Kim (Ned) Simpson, Dennis (Caroline) Gembutis and Kelli (Jeff) Wolfgram and several cousins and friends too numerous to mention.

Shelby was a very loving and empathetic child who gave the best hugs and best laughs in the entire world and will be sorely missed by everyone whose life she touched. Our hearts are truly broken by this loss.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 24 from 4-6 o’clock pm at Loyless Funeral Home 5310 Land O’Lakes Blvd. Land O’Lakes, Florida 34639.
