Obituary of Eugene Orrico

Eugene Orrico, age 86, was lifted into heaven on April 26, 2021.  Born in Greenwich, CT, he resided in Connecticut before moving to Florida in 1988 where he became a member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church.

He was an entrepreneur owning a number of laundry and dry cleaning facilities in Connecticut and then started Foam Pak Packaging in Tampa.

He served his country in the Navy as part of the Korean War and is a member of the USS Waldron DD699 alumni association.

He enjoyed being with family and dining out eating good Italian food. He loved his Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra music.  He never took a nap, he was always just ‘resting his eyes’. 

His beautiful life will forever be cherished by his family:

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Orrico of Tampa; and is survived by his daughter, Joann (Glenn) Bower of Zephyrhills, FL.; son, Eugene Michael (Laura) Orrico of Dade City, FL, step-children, Sharon (Don) Dorries, K.C. (Yvette) Blonski both a Tampa, FL and John Blonski of New Milford, CT.  his grandchildren, Dale, Rachel, Nicky, Amy, Bobby, Connor, Katie and his great grandchildren, Nico, Odin, Matthew, Mary & Aidan. He is also survivied by several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, 17512 Lakeshore Rd. Lutz 33558 on Friday, May 7^th with visitation beginning at the church at 10:00am followed by Mass at 11:00 am. 

Eugene and his wife will be buried on Friday, May 14^th at 11 o'clock am at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fl. with military honors to be rendered at that time.
