Obituary of Antonetta R Lamp
1920-2021
Antonietta (Annette) Rose Merola Lamp, 100 years old, of Tampa Florida, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday March 9th 2021 at 12:25 am,
Surrounded by her family.
Annette was born in Cuccaro Vetre a province in Salerno, Italy where she spent her childhood years. She was going to go into a convent, but was brought to America by her father at age 16. She lived with her Father in Jersey City, where she met a young Seminarian student visiting Edward Lamp, and as they say the rest was history. Through her lifetime she held many types of jobs, the last being housekeeping services for JFK a hospital in Metuchen NJ.
They moved to Pompano Beach Fla in 1976, had 7 years together until her husband passed away while in Port St. Lucy in 1983. In the ensuing years Annette relocated to Hudson, Dunedin, and finally Tampa where she resided with her son Father Edward Lamp.
She attended St. Marks Evangelist Church where she remained a congregant til,her passing.
She was preceded in death by her father Aniello Merola in 1958, her husband Edward in 1983, her Mother Antonietta Testa Merola in 1998, her daughter Margaret Zinno in 2008 and her sister Bianca Yapola in 2020.
She is survived by her Son Fr. Edward Lamp, her daughter Elizabeth Mastropasqua and her Grand Children Cheryl Baccello, John Mastropasqua , Donna Valentino, Michelle and James Cleveland, Hera And Marcus Zinno. Her great Grandchildren Alese and Anthony Baccello, Rocco and Nico Mastropasqua, James Cleveland, Nicholas and Steven Valentino, and her Great Great Granddaughter Lina Annette Mesanko all from Toms River NJ.
Visitation will be at St. Marks Evangelist, Saturday March 13, 2021 from 12:OO to 1:OO followed by a Eucharistic Liturgy. Interment will follow at Curlew Cemetary Palm Harbor.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Marks Church as follows:
a) The Marian Shrine b)St. Vincent DePaul Society. c) Building Reduction Fund
