Obituary of James M Koys

James “Jim” Michael Koys, 61, died peacefully at home on Sunday, September 20, 2020.

Beloved husband of 32 years to Christine (Burns).  Loving son of the late John Koys and Marianne (Skriba).  Loving son-in-law of Robert Burns and the late Elaine Burns.  Dear brother of Dan (Mary), Fr. Thomas Koys, the late John (Pat), MaryLou (the late Morris) Lasky, Margie (Steve) Novotny, Bob (Sharon).  Dear brother-in-law of Bob and Nancy (Sliva) Burns and Mike Walen and Peggy (Burns).  Beloved grandson, nephew, cousin, and uncle to many.

Jim was born in California and lived in Riverside, Illinois. He married Christine Burns in 1988.  They started their Life together in Brookfield, Illinois, and moved to Florida in 1999.

Jim’s world was his family, many friends and his beloved pets Dexter, Von Leben and Grady.  He loved to golf and root on the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Jim embraced his spirituality and shared it with others in a spirit of love and humility.
