Dear Aunt Sandy, Todd and Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Dan. He will be missed. Know that his spirit and presence will live on through Todd and his grandchildren and grandchildren to come. I remember Uncle Dan when I spent time with you all in the summers. He was a bit of jokester and sometimes I'll admit (I didn't get the punch lines!) I am so glad I got to see you all at the reunion. I do remember Uncle Dan made the best pizza and totally and unselfishly cared for our Grandma Bauswell. Our prayers are with you at this time.
Love you all,
Kenny and Cindy McBride

I will cherish the memories I have of summertime spent with Aunt Sandy, Uncle Dan and "my little brother" Todd.
Uncle Danny's joking and teasing always made me feel special and so welcomed.
My thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Sandy, Todd and his family and the rest of Uncle Dan's family and friends.
Rest in peace Uncle Danny.

Dan welcomed me with a big hug every time I saw him and he embraced my silliness with a smile :). At Austin and Nicole's wedding, he was on his way out and I told him he couldn't leave without going in the photo booth. If you know Dan, you know it took a lot of persuasion but eventually I got him in there and Sandy and I had a great time getting that grin on his face. Sandy, Todd, Amy, Austin, and Jenessa, we love you and our prayers are with you. Framily for ever! Love, Genie, Mike, and Tony Arnold

I've known Danny as long as I can remember. Todd and I were inseparable growing up through the 70's and 80's. I have so many Great memories. He raised Todd and I like men. Treating us with respect and dignity until we screwed up. Believe me that's a side you didn't want to be on. I've caught myself many times raising my boys the same way. I suppose because I admire how Danny and Sandy raised Todd. Without a doubt Danny helped mold me into who I am today. I really hope he knew how much he meant to me.
I'm a better man for knowing him. I Love you all and I'm so sorry!!

I am so saddened to hear of Dan's passing. He was a very good friend for so many years I cannot count. We had a ton of good times together. I sure wish there was something to do to change all this. Very sad time for Sandy and Todd and the rest of the family. My heart goes out to you.

Sandy, Todd & Family- My sincere condolences to you all. Danny was my Coach in Pony League in Fort Madison- and I have a lot of fond memories of that time in my life. Danny was a great coach- he was serious, but was also funny- as a teenager, he never seemed to talk down to us or make any of us feel unworthy- he took each of his players for the gifts God had given them, and coached to their strengths, and did his best to help them with their weaknesses in the game. I can still remember him having Tom Beger steal home- more than once !!- Tom was a gifted athlete and could execute such things. I BEGGED Coach Bailey to let me try that. "Maybe next game" he would say. I got that all season. At our last game of the season- my last year- I asked again. "Maybe next game" he said with a smile. " But Coach,........." He was laughing, and I realized he had been putting me on the whole season. We shared the laugh. I never got to steal home- I probably would have been thrown out- but that was OK. He made it OK that I didn't posses that talent.......and found a nice way to let me know that. Those are the memories I have of Danny. May God bless you during this difficult time. Jeff Toops
