Mark, Lori was the sweetest lady that truly loved her family and would do anything for anyone!! I loved all the gymnastic years we shared together with her girls and mine! She was so caring and always had a nice compliment to say about everyones children! I know you had a special bond and she will truly be missed by so many people! Sending big hugs and prayers to your family! Love, Lynn Brewer

I would like to thank everyone for keeping Lori and I, and the kids & grandkids, in your thoughts and prayers! It means the world to us!
Lori was special! I always knew that! I was lucky to have her in my life! She's been gone for nine days now, but, it seems like an eternity.
We had a private viewing for Lori on Thursday, August 6th for family only. This was done by Lori's request.
Below, is a note I wrote on the 6th, that was read, in sections, by Tricia, Sami & Sara at the viewing.
Life is short! Enjoy it!
Thanks again for your prayers!
Mark

The last two days have been the roughest time in my 60 years on Earth thus far. My heart has been broken as the Love and Light of my life has passed on to a better place as God has called her home.
Lori came into my life in January 1985. Our first date was Valentine’s Day. Sixteen days later, on March 2nd, we were engaged. I knew on our first date that she was the one for me. Her smile is what initially attracted me to her. It was infectious. One couldn’t help but smile and be happy around her. She was my rock, and I was hers as well. There was nothing that we wouldn’t do for each other.
We built a wonderful life together. Tricia was born a year after we married, Sami four years later, and Sara six years after that. As each child came into our lives, our love grew stronger and stronger. No matter what was happening in the world, in our lives, or, in the kid’s lives, our love and desire to be together grew stronger and stronger each and every day. As both of our parents went home to God, we leaned on each other for support. We comforted each other as best we could in those situations.
That was part of the foundation building of our relationship. Our love grew as each day passed. It was most definitely unconditional love. I had never experienced it before meeting Lori.
I asked her to marry me before I truly knew very much about her. I went with my blind faith of what I felt to be a loving, caring and compassionate person. I could not have more correct in my entire life. It was like winning the lottery! It was the best decision of my life, and I didn’t even know it at the time. Lori put her blind faith in me too. I’m just glad she said “yes”!
The words “I love you” didn’t come out of my mouth very much when I was younger. Lori taught me about saying those words on a regular basis. I’m so glad she did as we grew closer by saying those words to each other multiple times a day. The nice thing about it is that we always meant it when we said it to each other. Even during the tough times, we continued to say it regularly. It made things better no matter what type of day we were having.
We did not have a song that was designated just for us. There are many songs out in the world that would describe our life together and love for one another. But, the one that has always stood above the rest is “More Today Than Yesterday.” Listening to the words in the song always gives me shivers as I feel, felt and knew, our love for each other could overcome any obstacle that was thrown in our path.
Marriage, as in ordinary daily life, brings many ups and downs. Ours was no different. The difference for us was that we persevered through the peaks and valleys, and remained committed to each other even more than the time before.
I always told Lori that if she passed before me, I knew my life would be forever changed for the worse. I was right. My heart is broken. Luckily, Lori and I raised three wonderful children. I know they will do their best to comfort me. Lori will always be in my heart! Our love will never be broken, even with her death.
I suppose Tricia, Sami and Sara will take care of me, and, I will take care of them! That’s what she would want us to do. I know we will all do our best to be there for each other, just like Lori and I did for 35 years.
I love you Lori! I always have, I always will!

Mark, my heart breaks for you, Sami, Sara, and Tricia! I will always cherish the wonderful gymnastics memories we shared, as well as the times we shared during some of the low points we shared in life. I never expected to hear the news of her passing...in fact, I am still stunned and saddened, as she was always a bright light in this crazy world of ours! Please contact me at (813) 760-1256 if there is ANYTHING I can do to help your family cope with this tragedy. Love, Terry

The photos in the memorial video say it all: Lori loved - and was loved. She was blessed with a wonderful family and we were all blessed to have her. Peter and I still laugh at the memory of Lori swinging open the front door as she proudly displayed her Florida shirt. As I recall, she said to him, "I wore this just for you." (As we all know, you can never have enough Gator gear.) We will remember her bright spirit and send prayers to all.

I knew from the very beginning that Lori was going to be such an amazing friend. She was so kind hearted. Lori and I worked together in a department store in Delaware. I was pregnant with our son. Kevin and I were getting ready to fly home to Florida for Christmas. Lori came into work with a stocking full of chocolates that Mark had brought home from one of his trips overseas. It was such a nice thing and I always remember it every Christmas when I hang that stocking. She will be forever missed.
