Guy Ferri

Obituary of Guy Ferri

Guy Ferri, 61, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020. He was born in Huntington, NY and resided in Tampa, FL.

On September 23, 1989, he married his wife, Debbie, and they raised two daughters, Leighanne and Danielle. After a successful career filled with many accomplishments, he recently retired to enjoy the next chapter of life with his wife and best friend, Debbie, by his side.

Guy had many hobbies, including tennis (and a new found love for pickleball), boating, fishing, golfing, cheering on his favorite sport teams, bike riding and making a mean weekend breakfast (which always included a Bloody Mary or two.) He was known for his sense of humor, infectious personality and killer guitar playing skills.

He has made an incredible impact on everyone who he came in contact with throughout his life, both personally and professionally. To meet Guy was to know him; to spend time with him was to love him. While he had many great accomplishments in his career, anyone who knows Guy would agree that his key priority in life was his family.

He is preceded in death by his father Henry “Chris” Ferri, his mother Joan Baker Ferri and his oldest brother, Richard “Dick” Ferri.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Revere Ferri, daughters, Danielle Ferri and Leighanne (Danny) Houston, brother Mark (Patti) Ferri, sister-in-law Marta Ferri and nieces Aubree (Mike) Sasso, Chelsee (Dan) Churilov and Kylee (Matt) Genovese.

We will be gathering for a Celebration of Life on November 14th to share some of our favorite memories and stories, to laugh, to cry and remember what a wonderful person Guy was, and how greatly he will be missed. Our guest list has been restricted due to COVID-19 and reduced venue capacity, so please be advised this is an invite-only event for close friends and family. We wish we could have everyone there to celebrate, but we simply cannot open the event up for additional attendees due to the current restrictions. We sincerely appreciate your understanding during this time.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to American Heart Association at HERE and include Guy Ferri as the memorial honoree.
