Obituary of Polly Ann Dickie

Polly Ann Dickie, 95, of Wesley Chapel, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 7, 2020. Polly was born on December 1, 1924 in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania; she also lived in Wilbraham, Massachusetts; Fort Mill, South Carolina; and Wesley Chapel, Florida. 

 

Polly married the love of her life, Douglas Dickie, on December 1, 1951 in Massachusetts. They spent 68 years together and raised four amazing children. She is survived by her husband, Douglas; children:  Bruce (Kewalin), Douglas (Suzanne), Carol Daubney (Mark), and James (Allison); grandchildren: Trevor (Sandra), Rachelle (Jim), Clement, Matthew (Stephanie), Wasana, Alexis, Christina, David, and Sarah; and great-grandchildren: Gabrielle, Annika, Gavin, Samantha, Sienna, Campbell, and Liviana.

 

Polly was preceded in death by her parents, Maude and Frank Gresh; adopted parents, Elsie and John Grennor; and her three brothers: Linwood, Cameron, and Robert Gresh. 

 

Polly’s greatest loves had been family, genealogy, and the Lord. She had a passion for writing letters of encouragement to friends and family. She lived out her faith in service through multiple church ministries. During her downtime she enjoyed watching movies and reading her Bible. She will be remembered for her loving nature, her faith, and style.
